Everyone wants to get noticed. It’s true. Even the one’s who don’t want to get noticed, get noticed.

It’s chaos.

In the world of advertising it’s the same thing. Who can I get to noticed my pitch?

It is election season and right now all I see are annoying political yard signs. Everywhere.

I am not even aware how effective this is. I am willing to bet that it is about 2% of it reflects on the vote.

But there they are, littered all over the place.

In a world where we are assaulted by our senses we see all this as mere clutter. We lose sight of the important things.

A calm lake, a red rose, a child’s laughter……..

Is it any wonder we get anything done? News and information are coming at a rapid pace digitally that old school signs and billboards might become irrelevant.

I remember my time in Europe where you were never hit with advertising on such grand scale. You had hundreds of years of history of roads, homes and fields. I wonder if there has ever been a study on the differences in people’s lives because of that?

Am I getting off topic here?

I say let people investigate what they want to look into. Don’t advertise your stuff all over the place. Just leave us alone.
